What to resolve to?
Before I get to the question, it's probably best to show the progression. It's in 3/4.
|C--|G7--|Dm--|B°m7--|
Now, that sounds fine when it's paired with lyrics, but when it's not it sounds like it never resolves. Originally I wanted to go...
|C--|G7--|Dm--|B°m7--|
|C--|G7--|Em--|Em--|
That sounds OK when instrumental, but terrible with the lyrics. So then I thought...
|C--|G7--|Dm--|B°m7--|
|C--|G7--|Dm--|G F -|
That's better, but still not perfect, any ideas of what to resolve to?

Re: What to resolve to?
Solution found.
|C--|G7--|Dm--|B°m7--|
|C--|Dm--|G7--|C--|
I just put the ii after the tonic, thus leading me to the dominant V, then leading me back to the tonic.

Yes this is the one that goes...
"He started out a young poet, dreams etc. etc."
