What guage/type of strings do you use?
On an acoustic, I like either .54s or .52s, on an electric I like the classic .46 to .10s. Not sure what brand I like yet, I've been narrowing it down between Ernie Ball and D'Addarrio.

i think that ernie ball strings have a bright sound for about a week and then they don't sound the same, I've never tried D'addario's strings before all i ever use is ernie ball

Ernie Ball's are bright for a couple of hours (of playing a lot, mind you) then they get a nice sound for about a week, then they die. D'Addario's tend to live longer.

On acoustic is use standard lights (12-50somthings) and on electric I have a thing for thicker strings. I have a set of 11s on my strat at the mo.

I used to keep .56s to .13s on all of my guitars, but after talking to a local guitar luthier he implied it could really hurt the guitar (on electrics.) Since then I've gone to lighter gauge on electrics, which in turn has got me using lighter gauge on acoustics.
On your acoustic you probably either have .52s or .54s, probably .54s. On your electric I'd guess you have .48s.
